PRINTMAKING
New classes start this week at the
ART ACADEMY OF SAN DIEGO.
Instructor: Loretta Kramer
Tuesday 9am - 12:00pm and 6pm - 9pm.
Saturday - 9:30am - 12:30pm.
If you are registered you may come to other print classes to work on your
own on the presses.
Many times we agree to meet at other times too. This enables the student to
get as much press time as possible.
We have two presses, one is a good sized Dick Blick and the other an
electric press is bigger, so lots of options are available.
In these classes we explore Copper Etching, all Relief on Linoleum and Wood
as well as Reduction Prints. Monoprinting of all sorts is done, including
your own made Collagraph Plates. At times we use Cyanotype and Van Dyke
printing processes.
Experience is always wonderful but is not necessary. You can explore yourown
desires or begin at the beginning. We have all been there.
